NO FAIL BONE IN PRIME RIB METHOD
INGREDIENTS
4 LBS B/I Prime Rib
Cooking oil
Seasonings ( EX: Montreal Steak Spice )
COOKING DIRECTIONS
Take your 4 LBS roast out 2-4 hours prior to cooking to allow to raise to room temperature- Preheat oven to 500 degrees F **(give yourself a good half hour for oven to preheat)
- Rub the roast with oil and add seasonings as you desire.. (ex: Montreal Steak Spice.)
- Place the roast in your roasting pan bone side down,fat side up.
- Add 1/4 inch water then place lid on roasting pan.
- When oven is ready place the roast in for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes shut oven OFF for 2 HOURS. **** DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR ****
No need to allow Prime Rib roast to rest as it has already done so during the the hours in the oven as it cools down.
Remove from oven, slice and serve.

Cook's Notes:
* For the PERFECT BAKED POTATO, place in oven at the same time of preheating oven *
Your cooking times will vary depending on the size of your Prime Rib roast. To calculate your cooking time, multiply the weight by 5. The Rib is cooked at 500 degrees F for exactly that many minutes.
For example: a 6lbs roast x 5 = 30. So cooking time is 30 minutes.
